Climate Physics will help you understand how our GHGs do not affect our climate. Al Gore does not have a clue about how our atmosphere works. Neither does Bill Gates. Follow us here, however, and you will understand how our atmosphere works.
Al Gore Warming (AGW) has created public interest in climate change, which is a subject of climate physics. Otherwise the general public would be as non-interested in climate physics as it is in stellar physics. While our government should support basic research in science, and this is allowed by our Constitution, spending government money to convince the public that human carbon dioxide emissions cause climate catastrophe is unconstitutional and fraud.
We must separate the science of global warming from “belief” in global warming. Belief proves nothing about reality. Some people “believe” in global warming because they have been brainwashed by government, media, and unfortunately their schools and universities that carbon dioxide acts like a “heat blanket” over the earth and too much carbon dioxide will overheat the earth. This is pure balderdash, as I hope to show you in this section on Climate Physics.
This “heat blanket” argument is simplistic, grade-school science and not real physics. The promoters of this pseudo-science do not know what they are talking about.
Much of the “scientific” support for AGW comes from ecologists. But that is a problem. If an ecologist is an expert in atmospheric physics then I am a neurosurgeon and a trial lawyer in my spare time.
You can get a PhD in ecology without studying math or physics, much less atmospheric physics. Ecology is a study flowers, trees, birds and bees, etc. Ecology has nothing to do with whether human carbon dioxide emissions cause climate change. If, and this is a big if, climate physicists were to first agree that our carbon dioxide emissions cause a certain amount of climate change, then and only then would an ecologist be able to estimate how much damage this might cause to the trees and the bees.
If you are a trial lawyer, you must understand who is and who is not an expert in any subject. If you are arguing AGW is false, you had better hire an atmospheric physicist as an expert. If your opposition is arguing AGW is true, and they use an ecologist as an expert, then you and your atmospheric physicist can destroy your opposition. Unfortunately, far too many trials have been lost to the AGW side simply because opposing lawyers did not make proper use of expert witnesses.
Many, especially politicians, “believe” in global warming because they believe the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Summary Reports represent the state of the science. If you are such a person, I have a bridge to sell you.
In Climate Physics, we will look at the science. The science must be properly addressed before laws are made, before environmental activists proclaim how global warming works, and especially before know-nothing politicians vote on AGW laws and send letters to their constituents telling them their carbon dioxide emissions cause global warming.
